Audiobook Narration – The Publisher's Way

Major publishers seek—and hire—audiobook narrators who have
mastered the techniques that surprise and delight the listener while realizing
an author’s intent. Patrick Fraley
and two other audiobook masters teach those techniques and skills and
guide you to make sophisticated narration choices during this one-day event. Fraley, a
multiple Audie Award nominee and winner, has been producing demos, teaching,
and narrating audiobooks for more than 20 years. He is joined by Scott Brick, teacher publisher,
performer and award-winning narrator of more than 600 titles, and Christina Rooney (left), a producer,
director and teacher who works with narrators and authors and publishers such
as Penguin/Random House, Harper, and Disney/Hyperion. Some of the best-selling
audiobooks she has created include Creativity
Inc., Flora and Ulysses, Being Nixon, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, World War
Z, and Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl. Event is limited
to 10 participants; teacher approval required.
