Senior Voice Actors Are Treated To
New Website For 'Seniors Like Us' ...
November 19, 2013

Voice Talent

What does a Senior Voice Over artist do to pass the time of day while waiting on the next audition?

What else - build a website  just  for Seniors, and, everyone else who will sooner-or-later become one.

Most voice over guys and gals already have a website highlighting their achievements in our industry. They’re loaded with audio clips, photos at the mic and testimonials from satisfied clients.

As you know, we seldom see  comments from our unsatisfied clients . . . that’s a "no no.” Duh!

So, what are most Seniors interested in? Unfortunately, sex is now near the bottom of the list.

Mostly at the top are: news for and about their generation, humor about them, grandkids and others, years in the military, entertainment folks past and present, and finally, products and services they can get excited about.

Bingo! We now have the key pages of our new website: SeniorsLikeUs - at http://SeniorsLikeUs.net.

CHECK IT OUT ...

So where do we go to find this kind of material?

We started with our old and current emails that had info and video clips received from friends, and others over the years.

The search engines were also a "gold mine” of material, and we relied on our own memories  . . .  at least those that hadn’t faded with time. After all, I’ve turned 40 twice already . . . plus 1.

After two weeks and as many nights, the website is now "up and running” and is listed on more than 100 search engines including  Google and Yahoo

Viewer comments are also now pouring in . . . we’d love to have yours. Unlike many websites, http://SeniorsLikeUs.net  is being updated with new material on an almost daily basis.

Ever wonder at what age you become a Senior Citizen? You’ll find the answer to that question at the top of our website’s home page. The answer may surprise you. You may be there already!

Love it! Thrilled to see this article on this blog. As a senior now entering into the world of Voice acting, it's wonderful to see a thriving "senior Community" here.

Thanks for the memories and the laughs.

Hey Bob,
This is grand. You were one of the first people to greet me as a new VO actor a couple of years ago and first to wish me Happy Birthday the year I started! Suffice it to say I qualify for this website ;-)
Congratulations to both you and Marie for starting this delightful site. Cheers! Jenny
